This privacy policy explains how Property Index Ireland collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or sign up to our waitlist. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about how we handle your information. This policy applies to the pre-launch waitlist phase of the platform only and will be updated when the full platform launches.

1. Who we are

Property Index Ireland is an independent rental transparency platform currently in pre-launch development, operated by its founder and based in Dublin, Ireland.

Property Index Ireland is in the process of being incorporated as a Private Limited Company in Ireland. Until registration is complete, the platform is operated by the founding individual. This policy will be updated to reflect the registered company details upon incorporation.

During the pre-launch waitlist phase, we collect the following personal data when you sign up:

We do not collect: your name, phone number, address, payment details, or any sensitive personal data at this stage. We do not sell your data to any third party.

3. How we obtain your consent

We collect your email address only with your explicit, informed consent. When you sign up via our website, you are presented with a consent modal before any data is submitted. This modal:

4. Why we use your data

We use your email address and interest category only for the following purposes, consistent with what you consented to:

We will not use your email address to contact you about anything unrelated to Property Index Ireland, and we will not use it for advertising or marketing purposes beyond what is described above.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our website. This data is anonymised and aggregated and helps us improve the platform before launch.

5. How we store your data and who processes it

Your email address and interest category are stored securely in MailerLite, our email service provider. MailerLite acts as a data processor on our behalf — they process your data only under our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes. MailerLite is GDPR compliant. Their privacy policy is available at mailerlite.com/legal.

Website analytics data is collected and stored by Google Analytics. We have configured Google Analytics with privacy-friendly settings — data sharing with Google is disabled and we do not use advertising or remarketing features.

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare does not store personal data submitted through our forms. Their privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Data location: MailerLite stores data within the European Economic Area or with appropriate safeguards where data is processed outside the EEA. Google Analytics data may be transferred to the United States — Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep your data

We will keep your email address on our waitlist until one of the following happens:

7. Your rights under GDPR

We may update this privacy policy from time to time as the platform develops, particularly when we move from pre-launch to full launch. We will notify waitlist subscribers of any significant changes by email before they take effect. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.

This policy will be substantially updated prior to the public launch of the full platform to cover report submission data, scoring data, and all other data processing activities of the live platform.
